Business Owner / Director Responsibilities:
The business owner/director has overall responsibility for health and safety and will:
Ensure this policy is implemented and maintained.
Ensure appropriate safety measures are in place for all assignments.
Provide suitable training, instruction, and supervision where required.
Maintain any required insurance policies and safety records.
Employee / Freelancer Responsibilities:
All employees, contractors, and freelancers are expected to:
Take reasonable care of their own health and safety.
Follow all safety procedures and instructions.
Use equipment safely and report any defects.
Report hazards, incidents, or near-misses promptly.
Cooperate with health and safety arrangements.
Risk Management and Assessments
Risk assessments will be carried out prior to location and studio shoots where necessary. These will consider:
The nature of the location (public, private, indoor, outdoor).
Slip, trip, and fall hazards.
Electrical equipment safety.
Working at height (e.g. ladders, elevated platforms).
Weather and environmental conditions.
Presence of the public or vulnerable persons.
Manual handling and lifting.
Lone working where applicable.
Controls will be introduced where necessary to minimise risk.
Equipment Safety
We ensure that:
All photographic and electrical equipment is maintained in a safe condition.
Damaged or faulty equipment is removed from use.

Public Safety on Location
When working on location:

Fire Safety
